We had such a wonderful response to the launch of our online store that we made the decision to close the shop front in Burnley Street to spend more time sourcing, photographing and listing beautiful vintage treasures for our far-flung friends to enjoy (and let’s face it, who doesn’t love a spot of quiet vintage shopping with curlers in, fluffy slippers on and a glass of vino in hand these days…)
As most you already know we celebrated our last day in the shop on the 1st of August with a bit of a party and our first collaboration. The lovely ladies from The Distinctive Dame set up their mobile hair and beauty salon in our window for the day and performed some fantastic vintage makeovers and manicures to the delight of passing locals and customers!

(Apologies for the lack of photos but it was so busy all day with well-wishers and customers snapping up their vintage bargains that I couldn’t get out from behind the counter!)
I did have time for a quick hug from my littlest customer Edith Violet
(and thanks to Mum Meg of One Girl Pie for the cute photo!)
While we will miss our little shop and all the colourful local personalities, moving the business online will allow us the freedom to do more collaborations, markets and events which we are very much looking forward to.
We have been taking our time to settle into the new space and ensure we’re properly set up for private shopping appointments for the more touchy-feely types amongst us who like to flick through the racks, try on and play before they buy.
We are also still offering ‘pick up’ as a shipping option for anyone who prefers to save on their postage costs but wants to make sure they nab their newly found treasure before someone else does.
All sorts of vintage wonderful will be appearing in our online boutique very soon, so watch this space and make sure you and your pals are on our mailing list and you’ll be the first to know!
